Orlando Convention May 28 & 29, 1999 (Delta Resort Hotel)

To start everything off, there was supposed to be early registration for the tickets on Friday. But some security Guard locked the doors and Creation couldn't get in. So the few xenites that showed up for registration helped set everything up when Creation finally got in. We spent about 3 hours just folding shirts (and there were some nice shirts). On Saturday is when the fun began, doors opened at 12pm. I got in and got the Ares shirt I was always drooling over and got $35 dollars worth of pictures (I shall scan them to my website when I get back home). I stood in line for about an hour just for the pictures, at 1:30 they played a music video called "Sisters", Unfortuently I was still inline for pictures at the time.

When I got done it was close to 1:50, I got at the end of the making of Bitter Suite. Next up was the musical salute to Hercules, and Xena/Herc trivia. After the trivia was a salute to Gabrielle with the song "The wind beneathe my wings" by Bette Midle, and then the bloopers from Hercules; which the funny ones were the ones done by Michael Hurst. And then the part everyone was waiting for, the beautiful Danielle Cormick.

When she came on stage, she told us how tired she was and asked if we would all sing her a lullaby (Rock-a-by-baby). We started singing it and she acted as she was going to fall asleep on the floor. Then a girl came up and said that she absolutely adores Ephiny and se was mad that they killed her off. Another lady said she was going to kill the writers for doing it. One guy asked if she knew how they got word to Xenain (excuse me if I got it wrong, couldn't remember how to spell it). Then it was my turn, I held up my arm and she said the one with the Jone Jett imitation bracelets (my bracelets were $5 a piece junk). So I asked her what she thought about wearing the amazon costume, she said it depended on what season and what she was doing since she does her own stunts (I am a little skeptical on that one, since she laughed about it when she said it). Then was Intermission.

When we came back, we had a musical tribute to Callisto, using the song "She is a maniac on the floor". After the tribute we had the auction (I will get the details of what was bought and how much if possible, forgot to right them down; but I did get pictures of most of the stuff being auctioned). Then we had the bloopers from Xena, they were a lot better than the ones from Hercules. Then we had the musical tribute to Ares using the song "Bad to the Bone", the funny thing was that when I was standing inline to get pictures of Kevin when he came on stage, I was right near a door that he came out of and right in front of me to get backstage. When Kevin came out, everybody was surprised beacuse we all heard rumors that he cut his hair, but he also was clean shaven. The audience tried to get him to sing the song from "The Prize" from Young Hercules, but he said he couldn't remember. Everybody was clapping emencely when some one got him to say the line from Bitter Suite, "Nothing need more be said......Ding Dong..The Bitch is dead". Then it was my turn to ask the questions (Muuuuhhhhhaaaaaa), I asked him two questions:

  1. Please say the line from Hercules of God of Love, "I am a lover not a fighter"

  2. Then I said "I am going to make every girl happy in this room, please sing the song: "Come melt into me" from Bitter Suite"

The problem was he said it has been 2 years and didn't remember the lines, I said if you give me a few seconds I will run out to my truck and get the CD cover and get the words for you. Noone believed that I would do it, not even Kevin. I proved them wrong, I went out to the truck got the cover and ran back, I gave the cover to him opened to the words. I said to him sorry sir, but I don't joke easily. All the girls were extatic that I actually went and did it, he read the lines and said it perfectly. My heart didn't stop beating very fast for about 40 minutes afterwards. I have never been that brave nor that stupid to do something like that before.

After awhile of Q & A, we then had the signatures and they brought Danielle back out. They did row by row, and I was in row J and had to wait for about 30 minutes to get up for signatures. It took them about 2 hours to get all the signatures done before they could do the part were they would stand together for people to get pictures. The guy from Creation said during the signing, that same time in the years to follow they will be back in Orlando (so everyone start saving your money).
